I flew out on 12/20/08 on flight # 883 heading for Roanoke and returned 12/30/08 leaving my car in long term parking... I am 78 years old and traveled by myself... When I returned, I picked up my car ($100.00) and drove to the terminal to pick up my luggage;.. I parked infront waiting for a guy that was bringing it out to me... However, I got out of the car to look for the man... I turned around and the cop was putting a ticket on my car... I yelled to him to say I was right there - he looked up and said, well you were not in the car... I said wait so I can explain, he said,.. "just pay the ticket" and drove off... Very rude - (Ticket E008142)... There were a man & woman sitting on the bench infront of it and.. he said - that guy wasn't listening to anyone, I'm sorry ..... I do not feel I should be responsible to pay the ticket... One of the employees told me to call the Airport and tell them what happened.. but I can't find the phone # on the ticket... Would you please explain how an elderly lady alone could manage their luggage a long distance - I was told there was no shuttle?.. Please reduce this ticket or advise?.. Thank you... Helen Clifford

IAH is not friendly to its passengers if they are not flying with Continental. Why I say this? Because there is no information desk in the departure terminal, no one to ask a question if you need to speak to someone. A passenger's best bet is the maintenance personnel. Whenever we have to fly through IAH, we pray that everything goes well, otherwise we are on our own. We always prefer to fly thru Hobby whenever we can. And IAH is proud to be among the largest 5 airports in US? And the largest 7 airport around the world? Being large isn't being great. I wouldn't put it in top 1000 as far as service is concerned.
